OLD HARDWARE. NEW TRICKS.

Those pedals were never meant to do all this.

Transcription pedals were built for one narrow job, then many were left behind by software that stopped evolving. Tippy brings them back as capable, modern input devices—without dragging a transcription suite into your workflow.

Meet the hardware library

BUILT TO MOVE AT YOUR PACE

One utility. A surprising amount of footwork.

Tippy stays simple at first touch, then opens into the kind of control system that can grow with a desk, studio, stream, accessibility setup, or game room.

INPUT

Every switch, your way

Map a pedal to keys, mouse input, text, timed recordings, program launches, or secure-by-default PowerShell commands.

BANKS

More controls under one foot

Give every pedal three independent banks, copy banks between compatible hardware, or hold a pedal as a temporary shift layer.

GESTURES

Press. Release. Hold. Combine.

Separate press and release actions meet long press, double tap, toggle, repeat, simultaneous pedals, and ordered foot sequences.

SCENES

Changes with your application

Load complete pedal scenes for the foreground app, scan installed software with permission, and browse hundreds of known shortcuts.

CREATIVE

MIDI, OSC, and live production

Control DAWs, OBS scenes, cameras, streaming tools, creative software, and networked gear without taking your hands off the work.

OUTPUT

Keyboard, mouse, and gamepad

Send familiar PC input or optional virtual Xbox buttons, sticks, and triggers—complete with safe held-input cleanup.

FOCUS

Big when you need it. Tiny when you do not.

Choose full, compact, tabbed, tiled, stacked, or quarter-size pedal-only views, then send Tippy quietly to the system tray.

DISCOVERY

Teach it unfamiliar hardware

Learn raw-HID or keyboard-style pedals, from a single switch through 32 inputs, without waiting for a vendor driver update.

CONFIDENCE

Tested, recoverable, reportable

Hardware Passport, rehearsal mode, diagnostics, backups, crash recovery, and privacy-reviewed support reports help keep every setup dependable.

SEE WHAT YOUR FEET CAN DO

Designed around the hardware in front of you.

Real pedal pictures, live switch illumination, clear assignments, and layouts that adapt from a full control center to a quarter-size always-on-top companion.

A GROWING PEDAL LIBRARY

Recognizable hardware. Learnable hardware. Rescued hardware.

Verified support begins with Infinity and AltoEdge. Registry artwork and built-in learning expand the experience across mainstream transcription, streaming, and programmable USB foot controls.

PROJECT / SISTER APP / DETAILS PENDING

Meet Tappy.
Just not quite yet.

A sister application to Tippy is taking shape on the TerkWerX bench. We are keeping the details under wraps for now—but there is more hands-on control coming.

Built in public. Improved by real pedals.

Browse the source, report unfamiliar hardware, share a crash report only after reviewing it, or support continued development if Tippy earns a place under your desk.

THE PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you put a pedal on it.

01Which pedals work with Tippy?

Infinity IN-USB-2 Version 14 and AltoEdge IN-AE-S Version 14 are the first hardware-verified models. Tippy also includes a growing device and artwork library, plus learning workflows for raw-HID and keyboard-style USB pedals with 1–32 switches.

02What can one pedal switch do?

A switch can send keys or shortcuts, click or move the mouse, type text, launch a program, run PowerShell commands, trigger timed macros, switch banks, act as a shift layer, send MIDI or OSC, or control optional virtual Xbox input. Press and release can have separate actions.

03Does the installer need administrator access?

No. The x64 installer is self-contained and installs per-user under Local AppData. A separate .NET installation is not required. Until the installer is code-signed, Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm the download.

04Can I use Tippy while gaming?

Yes, especially for ordinary one-pedal-to-one-key controls. Games and anti-cheat systems make their own rules, so always check the title’s policy before using timed or multi-step automation.

05Does Tippy collect my information?

Tippy has no automatic telemetry. Profiles stay local. Unknown-hardware and crash reports are created locally, visibly redacted, and never leave the computer unless the user reviews and deliberately attaches one to GitHub.

06Is Tippy free?

Yes. Tippy has no paid feature restrictions or donation reminders. If it rescues an old pedal or saves you time, optional support is available through PayPal.
